Amir Karami
Amir got his BSc in geology and environmental sciences from Lakehead university in Thunder Bay, Ontario. In his career as a geologist, he worked on many projects including a mining operation 480 km north of yellow knife in the Nunavut territory. Even though he loved his job as a geologist, he always felt like something was missing. In 2012 he leaves his lucrative job in the Arctic for a junior position at Sun Life And starts a new career as financial advisor. In 2014 he left Sun Life Financial to become independent insurance broker. In Jan 2016 , as soon as he had just over 10,000 hours of experience as a financial advisor, he took on the challenge of becoming a certified financial planner professional. Against all odds he had achieved the prestigious designation of CFP by fall of 2017. Currently he is one of the foremost experts in his field of work.
At work he helps as one of the managing partners of gneiss financial, while providing service to his own client.
When he is at home he spends as much time as he can with his wife (Maral) and his two children (Benjamin and Hannah). His hobbies include reading, biking, and soccer.
